**Dryer | Job Description**

As a Dryer, you will be responsible for safely and effectively processing harvested cannabis in preparation for extraction. Reporting to the Harvest Manager, you will work with your team to ensure all product meets company and departmental standards, according to the production schedule.

The Dryer will report directly to the Harvest Manager or designate and will have no direct reports. In the event of absence, another member of the Dry Team will provide coverage.

**Job Duties**
- Carry out all procedures and perform all duties in an efficient manner while complying with industry regulations and guidelines as well as Health Canada regulations
- Follow company SOP’s and all applicable procedures
- Be willing and able to be cross trained on working with JWC/Trichome’s teams for harvesting, drying, trimming, weighing, processing, filing, packaging, and other tasks associated with JWC’s/Trichomes broad medical and recreational lines as needed
- Ensure compliance and accuracy involving all recording and tracking of product movement and security
- Follow appropriate control measure to prevent cross contamination between product batches, while following good manufacturing practices
- Perform in-process and post-harvest processes, quality assurance testing and conduction of visual inspections to ensure all products are meeting or exceeding JWC’s/Trichome’s expectations
- Record daily logs in a timely manner and monitor process conditions to ensure compliance to standard operation procedures
- Proper weighing, data recording, and batch tracking through JWC’s/Trichome’s processes
- Monitor and manage processing equipment and supplies inventory (Cvaults, drying racks, reservoirs/lids, vacuum sealing bags)
- Monitor drying pod system that controls drying operations
- Perform daily balance checks and calibrations and confidently calculate (Tare, Gross, and Net Weight)
- Physically be able to lift 50LBS (reservoirs, drying racks) multiple times per day
- Daily moisture checks
- Fluff and rotate products to ensure even drying
- Maintain an organized inventory in secure storage and drying pods
- Package, label and organize product to ensure efficiency
- Deep clean pods, drying room, vestibule, and storage
- Handle waste product and clean and sanitize all workspaces according to company SOP’s
- Record destruction material while practicing correct protocols
- Assist with harvest, pruning, destruction, as needed
- Prepare transfers
- Retention samples
- Maintain a clean work environment throughout the day
- Contribute to a productive and positive workspace

**Requirements**:

- High school diploma
- Ability to work well as a team player in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to supervise and lead a team
- Skill in trimming, drying, and harvesting plants
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to multitask
- Experience with Microsoft suite
- Proven ability to plan, set, and achieve goals
- Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills
- Ability to stay focused while performing repetitive tasks.
- Must be able to complete a Criminal Background Check
