Production Supervisor

Job Title: Production Supervisor
Location: Brampton
Department: Operations
Reports to: Facility Manager
**Responsibilities**:
1. Supervision and Leadership:
- Lead and manage production & shipping teams, providing guidance and support.
- Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, expectations, and updates.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment to enhance team productivity.
2. Production Operations:
- Oversee the scrap line, the rebottling, and shipping processes, including order picking, and shipment preparation.
- Ensure that all products are scrapped and stored due to their classification. Waste storage is according to the classification.
- Ensure all shipments comply with company policies, quality standards, customers, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and optimize production & shipping procedures to maximize efficiency and reduce errors.
3. Staff Training and Development:
- Train new employees on production processes, safety protocols, and equipment operation.
- Provide training to existing staff to enhance skills and promote continuous improvement.
- Identify areas for improvement and implement training programs accordingly.
4. Inventory Management:
- Conduct regular daily counts, and report on daily production levels.
5. Quality Assurance:
- Implement and enforce quality control measures to guarantee accurate and damage-free shipments. SOPs, QPS / WPS
- Conduct regular audits of outgoing shipments to verify accuracy and adherence to quality standards.
- Investigate and address any discrepancies or issues with shipments promptly.
6. Communication and Collaboration:
- Collaborate with other departments, such as logistics, procurement, maintenance and customer service, to ensure seamless operations.
7. Safety Compliance:
- Enforce safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a secure and accident-free work environment.
- Conduct daily safety talks, and regular safety training sessions for shipping and production employees.
- Investigate and report any safety incidents, implementing corrective actions as needed.
8. Process Improvement. E.I.P:
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline workflows.
Qualifications:
- Valid Fork Lift Licence an asset or experience operating a Fork Lift in the last 3 years necessary;
- Ability to work O/T when required;
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively;
- Team player with ability and desire to work well with others;
- Exceptional positive attitude.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively between production teams, and management.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Knowledge of safety and compliance regulations (WHMIS) is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working with metal or plastic drum reconditioning or similar industrial processes.
- Familiarity with production operations and scheduling.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle production challenges under pressure.
