CNC Machinist

**Oxytech Industries**, a well-establish and long-standing steel services provider of high-definition plasma and laser cutting, forming and machining is currently hiring for a skilled **Machinist **to operate our CNC and Manual Milling Machines.

**Job Duties**:

- Read and interpret blueprints
- Set up machining equipment for production by way of CAM or conversational programming
- Rework plasma/laser cut material to create the blueprint design
- Measure and verify all calculations prior to setting up the machinery
- Maintain a clean, safe and organized working environment
- Complete routine maintenance of machinery and tooling
- Create custom fixtures and jigs to improve machining efficiency
- Other related duties as required

**Job Requirements**:

- Experience operating various machine shop equipment, including CNC and Manual Mills
- Understanding of proper tool selection, feeds and speeds based on material
- Proper usage of precision measurement tools
- Adherence to GD&T machining requirements
- High attention to detail
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
- Excellent communication to facilitate effective handoff to other shift personnel

**Additional Capabilities (not required, but an asset)**:

- Diploma/ Certificate in machining related discipline
- CNC Press Brake experience
- Plasma Cutting experience
- Laser Cutting experience
- Millwrighting experience
- Welding experience
- Experience with safe operation of forklift
- Knowledge of safe overhead crane operation
