**Duties**:
Hired student will work with the supervisor and team of researchers to carry out field and laboratory work, sample analysis and participate in project discussion. Field work to take water samples and on-site measurements may possibly involve in deep mining pond or lake waters.

**Intent of the process**:
The intention is to staff one (1) student position for the completion of a Master of Science degree with Professor Matthew Leybourne at Queens University, Ontario.

A covering letter "In maximum 1 page, you must provide concrete and detailed examples to clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience requirements listed in the essential qualifications, explain your past research experience, and state why you are interested in the project."

**Education**:
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in geosciences with a thesis. Must be enrolled or who have been accepted at the University of Queens into a Masters program in Science.

Degree equivalency

Experience:

- Laboratory experience in geosciences, including lab work and lab data analysis.

Abilities:

- Work in a laboratory to analyze samples
- Ability to prepare reports of analysis and results.

Personal Suitability’s:

- Teamwork
- Effective Interpersonal skills.
- Effective time-management skills.

Operational Requirements:

- Willing and able to work in a wild field environment for extended periods of time
