**Responsibilities**:
- Prepare food following approved standardized recipes and ensuring that portion control, temperature, and food presentation guidelines are adhered to
- Work in a fast-paced environment preparing food to order on the line
- Read orders and prepare food in a timely manner
- Manage food preparation for special seasonal events and catering as required
- Maintain detailed records including menu changes, food orders, delivery receipts, temperature checks etc.
- Clean kitchen equipment after use according to health and safety policies and procedures
- Label, date, store, and rotate food and beverage products in appropriate storage areas
- Report any needed maintenance, faulty equipment or accidents to management immediately
- Work collaboratively with all kitchen and front of house staff to ensure smooth operations
- Maintain a clean, safe work environment at all times
**Qualifications**:
- Must have Safe Food Handlers certificate
- Chef training or a culinary management diploma that meets Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities standards is preferred
- Cooking experience in a hotel, restaurant, or institutional setting preferred
- Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to work as part of a team
- Available to work varied shifts as assigned
