**Purpose**:
Reporting to the Store Manager, the scope of this position involves providing customer service in a retail setting and assisting with the daily operations and profitability according to set goals and business objectives.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Work closely with the Store Manager to ensure that the Retail Store goals and objectives are met
- Provide excellent customer service and customer engagement
- Ensure all customer complaints are addressed and handled professionally and according to Company guidelines
- Ensure products and merchandise are presented neatly, priced correctly and shelves are adequately stocked and maintained
- Ensure that all H&S, GMP’s, security regulations and government regulations (as set by the Public Health Unit) are adhered to and required standards are met
- Handle cash, including counting floats, providing change and refunds, and end of day cash balancing and required paperwork
- Maintain cleanliness of Retail Store by following the cleaning schedule as provided by the Store Manager
- Provide relief coverage for other store staff
- Prepare specialty cheese trays and baskets
- Decorate store as required
- Attend prescribed courses/training
- Other duties as assigned by Management

**Qualifications**:

- High School Diploma
- 2 Years’ retail experience in a dairy or food setting considered an asset
- Excellent communication skills, including written and verbal and the ability to work as a team
- Strong customer service skills required
- Demonstrated ability to handle cash and make change
- Self-motivated with ability to multi-task
- Must be punctual and diligent
- Physically capable of performing demands of the job
- Flexible to cover various shifts, vacation or illness as required

**Working Environment**:
Extended interruptions. Occasional exposure to sharp objects (knives) and multiple deadlines.

**Physical Demands**:
Extended amount of time walking and standing. Considerable crouching, stretching, reaching and lifting up to 10kg. Moderate pushing and step ladder climbing required.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Expected hours: 20 per week

Day range:

- Every Weekend
- Monday to Friday

Shift:

- 4 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift

Work Location: In person
