Janitorial Associate

As **Janitorial Associate** you will be responsible for the regular cleaning of non-production areas of the building, including office areas, kitchens and washrooms.This role reports to the Director of Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs.

**Essential Functions**:

- Follow an established schedule that outlines the frequency of tasks to be completed.
- Check the washrooms and ensure that garbage bins in washrooms are emptied
- Check for and supply toilet papers, hand dispenser paper, hand soap
- Wipe sinks, countertops, toilets and taps
- Vacuum office areas and common areas with carpet
- Mop non-production areas, including the lunch room, washrooms, front entrance and locker room
- Empty garbage containers from all offices, wipe and dust off desks
- Clean lunchroom sinks, counter top & microwaves, empty garbage container, wipe down tables
- Vacuum and dust meeting rooms
- Ensure that garbage and recyclable materials are put out for the weekly collection
- Responsible for sweeping and/or vacuuming warehouse floor
- Other related duties as assigned

**Education & Certification Requirements**:
High school diploma or equivalent

**Experience & Required Skills**:

- Previous cleaning / janitorial experience preferred
- Commercial cleaning experience preferred
- Meticulous eye for detail and cleanliness
- Commitment to maintaining a healthy and safe work environment
- Ability to follow Health & Safety protocol to avoid hazards or unsafe environments

Pay: $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 20 per week
