**Primary Duties and Responsibilities**:

- **Make a difference**: Contribute to kick ass development in our rapidly expanding product.
- **Be Heard**: Speak up with great insights and ideas that will change the way we approach the problem.
- **Test Planning**: Collaborate with the team to create detailed test plans that outline the scope, objectives, and testing strategies for various software projects.
- **Test Execution**: Conduct functional, regression, and integration testing to identify defects and inconsistencies in the software. Document and report issues, and work closely with developers to facilitate their resolution.
- **Defect Tracking**: Utilize defect tracking tools to log and manage reported issues. Verify bug fixes and ensure that they meet quality standards before closure.
- **Quality Assurance Documentation**: Maintain clear and organized documentation of test results, test plans, and other relevant QA artifacts.
- **Continuous Improvement**: Actively participate in QA process improvement initiatives. Provide feedback and suggest improvements to streamline testing processes and enhance the overall quality of software products.
- **Collaboration**: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business analysts, to ensure high-quality software deliveries.
- **User Advocacy**: Champion user-centric quality, ensuring that the software not only functions correctly but also provides an exceptional user experience. Consult with various user types to gain an understanding of how they use the software.
- **Adherence to Standards**:Ensure that all testing activities align with established quality assurance standards and best practices.

**Minimum Skills & Qualifications**:

- Resides in the Calgary area and is available for monthly meetings and team events in the Downtown Core.
- Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field or sufficient profession al testing experience
- 2+ years’ experience in a SAAS environment.
- Passion for product excellence and experience working in organizations with strong collaboration between Engineering, Testing, Support, Data, Product, Design, and Business functions.
- Advanced critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in statistical analysis.
- Excellent attention to detail and a passion for ensuring software quality.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with business unit stakeholders of varying technical ability when required by project objectives.
- Curiosity and a desire for growth.

**Preferred Skills & Qualifications**:

- Prior experience in software testing or quality assurance, either through internships or entry-level positions.
- Agile/Scrum experience a plus
- Experience working with the upstream Oil & Gas industry, with a focus on reserves.
- Exposure to performance testing or security testing concepts.
- Knowledge of the OpenAPI specification 3.0

Contract length: 12 months

**Salary**: $55,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
