About us

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist as needed with preparations and planning for summer camps, purchasing, and organizing inventory of supplies as needed.
- Plan and facilitate camps programming in various assigned locations across the province. (Lead activities, supervise campers).
- Maintain camper safety and adhere to camp policy and procedures.
- Represent Skills Ontario professionally when engaging with the public and partners/stakeholders.
- Communicate with team members in a productive and constructive manner.
- Maintain accurate program records and other administrative duties.
- Executing all tasks as assigned and in a timely manner.

**Requirements**:

- Be under the age of 30 years of age at the beginning of the employment period (as per funding requirements).
- Fluency in English, both oral and written.
- Have aptitude and experience in organizing, planning, managing, and delivering projects.
- Experience working with youth is an asset.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Possess a valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Must be willing to travel.
- Knowledge of computers and of basic software.
- Occasional heavy and repetitive lifting involved.
- Fluency in French considered an asset.
- Enhanced criminal record check will be required upon hiring

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract, Seasonal
Contract length: 8 weeks

Pay: $18.50 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

**Education**:

- Secondary School (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (required)

Willingness to travel:

- 50% (preferred)

Work Location: In person
