Position Summary

AltaGas is seeking two additional Dispatchers for our growing Sundre Dispatch team Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, Dispatchers work closely with the Lead Dispatchers and Operations Supervisors to provide daily support to the field, marketing, and management teams. This role ensures the smooth execution of daily trucking operations, meeting monthly nominations and ad hoc requirements. Our Dispatchers also monitor fleet performance, maximize efficiency, and collaborate with internal and external customers to support and grow the business.

This position works a 7-day on, 6-day off schedule.

What You'll Do:
- Oversee daily operations for company drivers and lease operators transporting dangerous goods, including scheduling, maintenance, order creation, processing, compliance, and equipment utilization.- Manage driver and equipment utilization to optimize efficiency in line with customer demands.- Maintain inventory control at supply and destination plants; coordinate with schedulers at gas plants, pipeline terminals, refineries, and bulk storage facilities.- Monitor and manage electronic logs, GPS systems, HOS (Hours of Service), and alerts related to speed and collisions.- Prepare and deliver reports (daily, weekly, monthly) for internal teams, marketing, and management.- Create next-day orders using TMW software for both scheduled and just-in-time deliveries.- Verify prior-day orders with returned paperwork in Vector and ensure proper order processing in TMW for billing.- Ensure timely follow-up on outstanding items to complete billing and processing.- Review and clean up dispatch boards daily, removing any canceled orders. What You Bring:
- High school diploma (Grade 12) or higher education.- Experience in the oilfield industry and exposure to TDG (Transportation of Dangerous Goods) best practices is strongly preferred.- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.- Ability to work extended hours based on customer demands.- High attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with a high degree of tact and professionalism.
