**JOB DESCRIPTION**
- Perform participant intake and financial assessment, develop budget plans, identify financial goals, etc.
- Perform administrative duties such as maintaining hardcopy and digital filing and record systems, reconciliations, auditing, etc.
- Prepare and process accounts receivables and payables on behalf of participants, issue participant spending weekly, bi-weekly, monthly and/or as required/requested through cash, cheque and EFT
- Maintain participant/vendor files including database entry, case noting and other case management
- Develop and implement financial literacy/education program for delivering to participants
- Make appropriate referrals to internal/external benefits, programs and services
- Perform administrative duties such as filing, mail (incoming&outgoing)/ fax/photocopy/courier, answering the telephone and directing calls
- Meet program delivery requirements and strive to improve process and service
- Ensure confidentiality and security of information
- Incorporate and champion the vision, mission and values of Port Cares into daily work activities
- Adhere to Port Cares program policies and procedures and respect confidentiality.
- All other duties as required
**SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED**
- Completion of a Degree or Diploma in Social Sciences or in a related discipline
- 3-5 years direct experience in financial management and supporting marginalized populations
- Demonstrated excellence in case management: managing a complex and demanding case load with measurable outcomes attached
- Resourceful, empathetic with a desire to help others achieve their financial goals
- Outstanding attention to accuracy and detail relating to case noting/file management/documentation
- Highly effective interpersonal skills together with strong oral, written communication and data management skills
- Ability to manage a case load with strong planning, multi-tasking and prioritization
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
**Salary**: $21.00-$23.00 per hour
