- We're looking for an Accounting and Payroll Technician to join our team at Poka.

As an Accounting and Payroll Technician, you'll play a crucial role in our finance team, ensuring precise and efficient execution of our accounting and payroll operations.

**_ What you'll be responsible for:_**

Payroll:

- Ensure payroll is processed with accuracy and confidentially using ADP WorkforceNow.
- Process reimbursements for expense reports.
- Serve as liaison between overseas employees and third-party payroll service providers to ensure that payroll processing accurately reflects our company's specific policies.
- Verify vacation days, paid leaves, and other payroll elements.
- Track employee benefits and deductions on payroll records.
- Address employee inquiries regarding their payroll and provide appropriate support.
- Coordinate with the HR team to ensure accuracy of employee data.
- Prepare and analyze payroll-related accounting entries.
- Support new hires' onboarding.
- Participate in internal audits, workers' compensation, tax filings, and related documentation.
- Participate in the optimization of internal processes.

Accounting:

- Enter and verify accounting data in our financial systems.
- Performing rigorous monitoring of accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare invoices and send them to clients.
- Obtain necessary approvals and prepare payments to suppliers.
- Collaborate on credit card transaction reconciliations and sales tax declarations preparation.
- Make bank deposits.
- Participate in the optimization of internal processes.

**_ What you bring to the table:_**
- Degree in accounting, administration, related field or 1 year experience in accounting or payroll processing.
- Excellent knowledge of French and English, both spoken and written.
- Excellent knowledge of Excel.
- Proficiency in accounting and payroll software, such as FinancialForce and ADP WorkforceNow, an asset.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines is essential.
