**Job Summary**:
FluidAI is looking for an R&D Manager, reporting to the Director of Research, to join our R&D team for an exciting new project. You will be a key member who will lead a new R&D project that aims to transform the space of patient management in critical care settings. Your primary responsibilities will be to:
**- Contribute to building a novel technology that can shape the next generation of critical care patient management.**

**- Work together with senior management to build out technical project team.**

**- Act as a technical leader for a cross-disciplinary team.**

**- Independently design, execute and analyze data.**

**- Find creative and innovative ways to solve R&D challenges.**

**- Deliver regular project updates to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.**

**- Ensure that project timelines and objectives are being met.**

**This is an _office-first_ role working out of our Kitchener HQ in the Medical Innovation Xchange.**

**Qualifications**:

- Advanced (Master's or PhD) degree in Biomedical Engineering, Nanotechnology Engineering, Biochemistry, or related disciplines.
- 5+ years of industry experience in the development of POC diagnostics/IVDs/blood gas analyzers.
- Experience in end-to-end product development (bringing technology through key points such as conception, verification, manufacturing, etc.) as a technical leader.
- Experience in a early-stage start-up or related environment (fast-paced, high-growth, innovative, etc.).
- Skilled in managing relationships with stakeholders, both internal and external.
- Experience in building and managing cross-functional, high-performing teams.

**Bonus Qualifications**:

- Experience with regulated environments such as ISO13485:2016 or 11 CFR 820.
- Experience with hardware/firmware development.
- Experience with mechanical design
