We are a small team located in downtown Victoria looking for another team member to fulfill a tax preparer role with full time hours during tax season and casual throughout the rest of the year, with hours depending on level of experience and comfort with work. We are seeking someone who is available for a hybrid, work from home and to be present at the office during tax season when needed.

**Is this you?**
- Minimum 3 years of recent tax preparation experience (complex personal returns including business and rental schedules, final date of death and trust returns essential). The person in this role should be able to immediately demonstrate a high level of comfort with these processes, having successfully completed them numerous times and be able to seamlessly integrate into the role without much guidance or orientation.
- Strong listening, verbal and professional writing skills; a helpful and friendly attitude will be expected when dealing with customers and other professionals on the phone, in writing and in person.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to stay focused and grasp concepts quickly.
- Able to work electronically in a paperless environment and communicate with remote co-workers while independently and reasonably searching for solutions before asking questions.
- Must encompass time management skills with the ability to prioritize assignments in addition to the ability to handle a demanding rapid fire workload while managing multiple concurrent projects and deadlines and be able to direct and coach others. Must be able to use a company timer to keep track of client hours.
- Strong understanding of math and conceptual logic.

A Criminal Record Check will be performed and references for previous work performed in relation to this position will be requested.

Proficiencies will be tested during the interview process.
