The Whispering Pines / Clinton Indian Band is one of the seventeen bands within the Secwepemc territory. Traditionally from the Clinton area, Whispering Pines/ Clinton Indian Band membership includes ancestral lineage from both the Pelltíq’t te Pésellkwes (People of the White Earth/ Kelly Lake) and Steke’7ús (People of the Little Hanging Bridge (Big Bar)). As a Band we are committed to serving our community and membership as well as building a future that upholds our Ancestral responsibilities.

The Yucwmenulúcw Manager will lead the assertion of existing rights over lands, water, and resources while advocating for the establishment of and further recognition of title and rights in accordance with Secwepemc Law.
- Work with other governments (eg BC & Canada) to develop commitments and agreements which further the recognition of WPCIB title and rights in alignment with the UN Declaration on Indigenous Rights and Secwepemc Law
- Work with other Secwepemc Nation and Indigenous Peoples to further the recognition of Indigenous Rights
- Advocate and represent the WPCIB and their interests at internal and external meetings
- Lead, coach, mentor, and supervise employees ensuring professional development and capacity building
- Oversee consultation and engagement processes, policies and supports including the referrals system
- Oversee development and implementation of Software & Tools (eg. referrals processing)
- Provide regular written and verbal department updates and reports as needed
- Provide advisory support to Chief and Council when required on matters
- Degree in Resource Management (forestry, ecology, natural resources, land use planning) or related field relevant to position
- Minimum five (5) years of experience working within a similar role at a senior level within a First Nations organization
- Working knowledge of First Nations governance and Secwepemc Law
- Criminal record check
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License

**Salary**: $80,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
