POSITION SCOPE:
The Warehouse Quality Associate is responsible for product release and maintain product compliance records as per Canadian regulations for regulated and non-regulated products. The main responsibilities of the position relate to the management of activities to ensure and maintain the conformity of imported products. The Associate will ensure regulatory monitoring to meet these requirements and address any shortcomings.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
- Ensure that all activities related to warehousing, storage and transportation of the products are as per current GMP and not limited to GUI-0069 guidance.
- Perform product release, manage retain samples and testing requirements as per the procedures and current GMP requirements for regulated imported product.
- Manage product returns and disposal, including product reconciliation
- Manage and co-ordinate product recalls
- Complete Quality Events /Incident forms and reports as required.
- Performs the risk assessment with respect to the discrepancies and non-conformities
- Maintains quality documentation logs and checklists
- Review warehouse sanitation and pest control logs as required
- Ensures the review of controlled documents for product release (including but not limited to SOPs, Master Batch Records (MBR), Specifications, Methods, stability data, temperature monitoring devices, etc.)
- Maintain records for regulated imported products not limited to CoA, CoC, testing, inspection, etc.
- Participate in validation of ERP/WMS/automated temperature monitoring and other electronic systems in the warehouse facility.
- Conduct and report transportation studies, as per protocols.
- Participates in the drafting/revision and/or approval of standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Evaluate facility /product changes and deviations
- Provides support during audits (internal, external and corporate).
- Engage in lean and continuous improvement programs to improve quality systems
- Compiles data and generates KPIs related to quality systems
- Manages training matrix and training program
- Provide basic GMP training to new employees.
- Uses problem-solving tools to improve quality performance and nonconformities.
- To perform other related duties and projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’ degree in Science, Chemistry or other relevant disciplines
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with Quality Systems in relation to deviations, investigations, results out of specification (OOS), corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), change controls and complaints in the pharmaceutical / medicinal industry
- Experience in Canadian regulations on pharmaceutical, OTC, Natural Health Products, Cosmetics, Food or medical devices
- Ability to read and interpret the various regulatory guides and technical procedures
- Ability to analyze and process data to draw appropriate conclusions
- Strong ability to manage multiple priorities in a constantly changing environment
- Excellent computer skills and writing abilities
- Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills and attention to detail. Capable of working effectively in teams.
- Knowledge of computer systems: Microsoft Office suite, SAP, WMS, Solabs & Swisslog
- Fluent in English (written and oral communication), French is an asset
- Certification in Lean Six Sigma would be an asset
