PEC Partners Inc. located at Base31 is expanding its team, to hire an experienced Accounts Payable Administrator. As an Accounts Payable Associate, you will be responsible for accurately processing vendor invoices, cost recovery transactions and expense reports in a timely manner, and performing ad-hoc duties as needed, working under the supervision of the Controller.

As an integral member of the Finance and Accounting team, the Accounts Payable Associate is required to perform a range of accounting and administrative tasks to support the department under the direction of the Controller or Director of Finance.

**REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS**:
Reports to: Financial Controller

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Process invoices by performing tasks, such as matching and verifying payment amounts.
- Data / journal entry of invoices in the accounting system.
- Follow the company’s policies and procedures.
- Assist in implementing new Finance systems (G/L, A/R, A/P).
- Respond to correspondences from vendors and internal team members.
- Assist in reconciliations and monthly closing of accounts.
- Assist in preparing AP and other financial reports.
- Provide assistance with reporting and filing of payroll, HST, and WSIB.
- Monitor ERP system for control and reporting issues.

**KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS**:

- Diploma or post-secondary education in accounting.
- Minimum 2 years AP administration, Bookkeeping, or Accounting experience.
- Experience working with accounting or ERP software is required.
- Experience with Dynamics 365 Business Central is highly desirable.
- Detail Oriented, organized, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced, start-up environment with minimum supervision.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills to ensure cooperation from the team, to obtain required documentation and follow the appropriate processes and policies.

**Experience**:

- vendor management: 2 years (preferred)
