Job Overview:
This temporary office-based role has two important functions for the company - provide direct Environmental, Health & Safety support and oversight for day-to-day operations at Eco-Tec, as well as administrative support for EHS tools used throughout Kovalus. This role acts as the EHS Leader by providing training, responding to inquiries regarding system functionality, and providing feedback on system development. Managing updates to the EHS management system documentation and communicating revised processes to all stakeholders is required. A highly organized individual with good computer skills, you will also support reporting of EHS data and KPIs to the Corporate level.
Primary Responsibilities: Day-to-day EHS support and oversight for Eco-Tec.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, provincial, and local government EHS regulations, as well as applicable Kovalus policies and procedures.
- Develop or update and oversee key EHS programs for the Eco-Tec, such as the EHS Manual, Lockout Tagout, confined space, waste management, and respirators.
- Lead the creation and submittal of key EHS compliance reports, such as AER, GHG, etc
- Lead the site’s EHS training program and EHS communications.
- Lead site teams in completing and updating Job Hazard Analysis risk assessments.
- Lead Eco-Tec’s Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC) team.
- Manage the site's emergency response program, including incident investigations, root cause identification, and corrective action completion.
- Be responsible for WSIB claims management, partnering with HR, OPS, R&D, and other functional leaders.
- Execute and/or drive action plans to continuously improve the site's EHS program.
- Be a visible floor presence to support the site’s EHS culture and engagement.
- Provide EHS support for the field technician/customer-facing programs.
- Complete work permits for jobs that require them.
- Be the site expert for Eco-Tec’s EHS management tools (Velocity EHS, SDS Online, and LMS).

- Work closely with the Senior Global EHS Manager in supporting and improving global EHS tools, such as web-based EHS Management Systems; online Learning Management Systems, and SDS system
- Provide direct administrative support for the global EHS tools.
**Education Requirements**:
- BS in EH&S and/or prior direct experience in the EHS field
**Work Experience / Skills Required**

- Good communication skills
- MS Office-Word-PowerPoint-Excel
**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: $75,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
