**Peel Cheshire Homes Brampton Inc. is a charitable not-for-profit organization that provides non-medical personal support services to adults who live life with a physical disability. The Agency owns and operates a twelve (12) unit supportive housing unit that provides the residents with a private room with a bathroom, attendant care, food preparation, and other services which support independent living**

Residential Supervisor

Non-Bargaining Position

Hours of work: Monday-Friday (7:30AM-3:30PM) and one weekend shift a month.

**Resident support (40%)**
- Ensure the development and implementation of individual service plans for all participants.
- Ensure that staff provide direct support services with activities of daily living to residents based on their individualized needs/goals.
- Provide support and guidance to staff with resident situations.
- Act as liaison/part of the care support team with the resident, their families and/or outside agency supports.
- Advocate with and on behalf of residents supported.
- Maintain current knowledge of trends in the delivery of services to seniors, marginalized individuals, adults with disabilities and illnesses, mental health and addictions and housing.

**Program Delivery (20%)**
- Review and update knowledge of all relevant CARF Standards
- In consultation with Executive Director, assist in developing the organization in the journey toward CARF Accreditation
- Assist the Executive Director in preparing for the CARF Accreditation Site Survey
- Find resources that will assist the organization to meet CARF Standards (i.e. policies from other agencies, web research, HR Downloads, etc.)
- Ensure that housekeeping/cleanliness/maintenance of property/equipment standards are being met.
- Provide oversight and management of the team. Lead, direct and manage direct reports in day-to-day operations.
- Purchasing coordination of purchasing: regular goods, cleaning/paper supplies, provisions, medical supplies, medications, and equipment etc.
- Oversee the daily operation of the resident Aetonix system.
- Participate in and lead team meetings. Participate in organizational/community events as requested
- Identify current and future needs to recommend program changes and additions. develop partnerships and explore opportunities to work with others in the sector.

**Human Resources (20%)**
- Supervise all unionized employees.
- Meet all unionized employees every three months for supervision to encourage active problem solving, discussion of program issues, evaluations, and success planning.
- Assist the residential manager in collaboratively completing the employees performance appraisal.
- Provide training and workplace orientation following a worker’s employment start date.
- Assist the residential manager in all hiring practices, job postings, interviews, reference checks.
- Consult with the Residential Manager, as necessary, regarding disciplinary issues.
- Implement and follow the terms of the Collective Agreement and all applicable employment legislation.
- Report all health and safety concerns to Management as per the Agency’s Health and
- Safety policy.
- Assume on-call duties/vacation coverage/public holiday coverage on a rotational basis with other management staff.

**Administrative support (10%)**
- Complete all necessary administrative tasks are performed: payroll, scheduling, petty cash, stock-ups, and supply ordering, or other reports/tasks as assigned.
- Complete and post team meeting minutes.
- Support the Residential Manger with administrative duties as required.

**Other Duties as Assigned or Required (10%)**

Required Qualifications:

- A post-secondary qualification from a recognized educational institution in a related field
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a culturally diverse health care environment
- Strong operational management, team leadership, and relationship-building skills
- Commitment to providing the highest level of customer service and client care
- Superior oral and written communication skills
- Requires good judgement, problem solving and assessment abilities
- Demonstrated organization and time management and problem-solving skills
- Clean criminal record and vulnerable sector checks periodically
