Job Title: Bakery Assistant

Job Summary:
Join our team as a Bakery Assistant and be part of a dynamic bakery environment. As a Bakery Assistant, you will support our bakers in preparing and baking a variety of delicious pastries, cakes, and cupcakes. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of the bakery and delivering high-quality products to our customers.

**Duties**:

- Assist in food preparation and baking activities under the guidance of experienced bakers
- Assist customers with taking cake and cupcake orders over the phone, in person or online
- Assist customers in store-front. Handling cash and running POS
- Handle ingredients and follow recipes accurately to maintain product consistency
- Operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, and scales
- Decorate cakes and pastries with precision and creativity
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulations
- Package bakery products for display or customer takeaway
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the bakery area
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals

**Skills**:

- Prior experience in food handling or kitchen environment
- Knowledge of baking techniques and cake decorating is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Understanding of food safety practices in the food industry
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $14.50 per hour

**Experience**:

- Baking: 1 year (preferred)

Work Location: In person
