**Position Overview**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Implement and maintain the Management System and track adherence appropriately.
- Implement and maintain a variety of occupational health, safety, and environmental programs on an active construction site.
- Develop and implement project specific safety and environmental plans.
- Identify and address hazards on projects by performing thorough inspections at all locations on the project.
- Support compliance of municipal, provincial, and federal regulations.
- Facilitate and coordinate health and safety training programs and compliance tracking.
- Document and investigate incidents including near misses, with a focus on implementing effective corrective and preventive actions.
- Procurement of safety supplies required for the project (PPE, Rescue equipment, First Aid supplies, etc)
- Work in conjunction with the Project Manager and Supervisors to implement a safety based focus on projects.

**Key Requirements**

**Education**:

- A certificate or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety and Environmental Sciences, or in a related field (or the equivalent in work experience).
- CRSP certification preferred

**Experience**:

- 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience in construction Health and Safety or Marine Health and Safety preferred
- Experience in ISO or IWC Management Systems considered an asset
- Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations
- Knowledge of Provincial and Federal laws and regulations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
