**Description/Summary**:
We are a leading tree care company operating in the beautiful Peterborough & Kawartha region.

We invite experienced applicants to grow with us.

We value safety first, professionalism, efficient hard work and are looking for an experienced lead arborist/field manager to lead a crew of two to four staff (climbers, ground staff).

**Qualifications**:

- 4-5 years of experience in arboriculture, ISA Certified Arborist preferred
- Confident in complex removals and pruning of mature, hazardous trees, and advanced rigging and felling techniques
- Experience as a Crew Leader and in providing consultation, quotes
- Clear and effective communication skills
- Always demonstrates safe and efficient operation of tools of the trade (chainsaws, chippers, rigging systems, etc.)
- Clean driver abstract and proof of insurance for at least three years experience of driving heavy vehicles, e.g., 4500kg(an asset)
- Team player who leads by example
- Able to balance client expectations with production schedules
- Current First Aid/CPR an asset
- Own PPE/complete arborist climb gear

**Job Duties**:

- Organize and perform proper tree care activities on residential and commercial properties, from initial contact to final walk-through with the client
- Highly competent skills in: tree assessment, climbing, pruning, removal, machine operation, cabling
- Job planning and execution of work orders, directing those with other roles
- Safely and efficiently work with cranes on occasion
- Perform periodic maintenance on chainsaws, brush chippers, stump grinders

**Pay/Benefits**:
$26-32/hr

Stat Holidays off, (paid after probationary period)

Potential for Commission on Sales

**Salary**: $26.00-$32.00 per hour

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

- Bonus pay

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Selwyn, ON K9J 6X2: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:

- tree climbing: 3 years (preferred)
