**Job description**

We are looking for a professional & reliable Construction Site Manager who will be responsible for overseeing construction projects and supervising the construction team. The Construction Site Manager's responsibilities include ordering building supplies, scheduling equipment maintenance as needed, and training new construction employees. You should also be able to perform first aid in emergencies.

**This person, at minimum, must**:

- Prove to have at least 5 years of experience as a Site Management in Construction
- Possess a driver’s license in good standing
- Oversee and be responsible for all site-related aspects of a construction project
- Possess superb leadership skills
- Demonstrate excellent organizational skills
- Be able to read, interpret and implement construction drawings, specifications change notices, etc.
- Be willing to play an integral part of the project team and work in a team atmosphere
- Show willingness and be able to conduct some physical labour tasks
- Possess adequate technology skills
- Adapt and complete standard project management documents, procedures and protocol
- Meet and conduct discussions with owners, consultants, sub-trades and other project team members with the utmost respect and professionalism
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of building code compliance as well as building inspection reviews
- Be able to demonstrate professionalism in dealing with conflict resolution
- Be willing to adapt to the project environment and, in some cases, many design changes with a positive attitude
- Be able to “think outside the box” concerning construction practices, be proactive instead of reactive and resolve issues efficiently and effectively

**Responsibilities**
- Inspecting construction sites regularly to identify and eliminate potential safety hazards
- Supervising and instructing the construction team as well as subcontractors
- Educating site workers on construction safety regulations and accident protocol
- Enforcing site safety rules to minimize work-related accidents and injuries
- Handling site accidents by established accident protocol
- Maintaining an accurate record of construction employee attendance
- Evaluating the performance of construction employees and instituting disciplinary measures as needed
- Analyzing blueprints to ensure that construction projects meet design specifications and safety regulations
- Recommending changes to construction operations or procedures to increase efficiency
- Site Manager ensures the quality of workmanship is meeting or exceeding expectations and the construction project is being built as per drawings.
- Site Manager will be responsible for organizing sub-contractors promptly and per the contract terms for mobilizing to the site, scope of work and labour strength

**Requirements**:

- Completion of a post-secondary education construction training program.
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, construction science, civil engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience working as a Site Manager.
- CPR and first aid certifications.
- Sound knowledge of building codes and construction safety regulations.
- Working knowledge of construction tools and equipment.
- The ability to interpret blueprints.
- Outstanding leadership skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
