The **Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA), Ontario Division** is a provincial association, supporting 27 branches across Ontario that provide mental health and addictions services in community-based settings. CMHA Ontario is part of a nation-wide organization, which is Canada’s oldest health charity.

**Mental Health Works (MHW)** is a national program of the CMHA Ontario. It provides capacity building workshops on workplace mental health to both employers and employees based to create psychologically health and safety in the workplace. Our approach is person-centered, evidence-based, and solutions-focused. The program is currently operating nationally and is available in both official languages.

**Job Summary**

CMHA Ontario is seeking an experienced** Trainer/Facilitator** for a full-time, one-year contract, starting immediately. The incumbent will report to the Program Manager, Mental Health Works and will deliver Mental Health Works training to businesses and diverse clients of CMHA Ontario across the province. The position is based in Toronto.

**Core Responsibilities**
- Deliver Mental Health Works training to organizations across Canada
- Coordinate scheduling and logistics for the delivery of Mental Health Works trainings with clients, including travel planning
- Work with clients to adapt curriculum material to meet their needs
- Assist in curriculum revision or development based on feedback from client and participant evaluations
- Conduct outreach and develop relationships with new clients within the annual revenue plan
- Partner with other CMHA Ontario departments (i.e., communications department, branch relations lead, government relations lead, fund development lead, etc.) to share business activity updates with various stakeholders
- Implement quality assurance measures, including evaluation practices, and suggest improvements in consultation with CMHA Ontario’s Quality Improvement team, the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Lead, and the Mental Health Works team
- Respond to client and training requests
- Track training events and participants; report training activities to the Program Manager, Mental Health Works
- Consider principles of equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility throughout planning and facilitation of workshops with clients
- Attend regular meetings of the Mental Health Works and CMHA Ontario teams
- Other duties as assigned

**Skill-Based Competencies**
- Minimum 3 years’ experience of facilitation or training with adult learners in virtual and/or in-person environments
- University degree or college diploma in the social sciences, humanities, healthcare, sciences, or equivalent experience (3-5 years of experience)
- Ability to effectively deliver content and engage participants through ground activities
- Graduate degree in a relevant field (e.g., MSW, MPH, MEd, or other relevant) and/or a certified coaching or management consultant designation is preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong attention to detail
- Experience working in multi-sectoral partnerships and liaising with non-governmental organizations and government agencies is required
- Familiarity with key concepts of mental health promotion, health equity, and social determinants of health is an asset
- Working knowledge of the mental health and addictions sector, workplace mental health, and the Z1003 National Standard for Psychological Health and Safety in the Workplace are assets
- Project coordination training and experience
- Demonstrated ability to present to and/or facilitate groups of varying sizes
- Ability to adapt and deliver curricula related to mental health and addictions
- Well-developed administrative, organizational, and problem-solving skills to effectively multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines
- Bilingualism (French/English) is a strong asset
- Marketing experience using social media platforms is an asset
- Sales and outreach experience is an asset
- G Class license required

**Working Conditions**

This is a full-time, temporary contract position working standard office hours (currently 35 hours/week). This position is based in Toronto, Ontario and may require regular travel. We are currently operating within a hybrid model, with colleagues working from the office 3 days/week and from home 2 days/week.
