**Primary Responsibilities**:
The Warehouse Lead’s responsibilities will include but are certainly not limited to:

- Monitor the daily activities of checkers, loaders, and forklift drivers
- Efficiently supervise the loading/unloading of all route trucks, and transports
- Maintain and control warehouse inventory
- Reconcile any inventory variances
- Receive the returns back from the drivers the same day and document the details
- Work closely with internal management to execute all planned programs
- Train and supervise a staff of warehouse personnel
- Direct the daily housekeeping and maintenance of warehouse grounds
- Adhere to all policies and procedures relating to product age and quality
- Maintain and supervise warehouse cost control
- Manage and model the safety culture and strive for 100% compliance concerning safety policies and procedures
- Work directly with the driver team to ensure compliance to account requirements
- Monitor daily KPI’s and work to resolve short comings
- Other duties as assigned; such as assist with continuous improvement initiatives

**Requirements**:

- 1-3 years Distribution experience
- 1-2 years Management experience in a transportation setting/warehouse environment
- Forklift experience - certification and an excellent safety record
- Good PC knowledge of MS Outlook, Word, Excel as well as basic math skills
- Self-motivated with a high degree of integrity and be able to perform job duties with mínimal supervision on a timely basis
- Past job performance must reflect dependability, maturity, initiative, personal demeanor, and the ability to exercise sound judgement
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Comfortable delivering frequent direct written and oral feedback
- Familiar with Rf scanning equipment
- Able to stand/walk for periods of time
- Clear criminal record check in accordance with Ziing policy

- Ability to think and function at a high level, yet not too cool to do heavy lifting

**Work schedule**:

- Monday to Friday 4am-1pm (1 hour break)

**Additional skills/knowledge**:

- Experience with process development and project management
- Experience working in a start-up business environment
