**Job**

Immidiate role is competent operation of the paver. The expected attributes to this operation would be to maintain the machine, this includes greasing and fuelling up the machine every morning, cleaning the machine after the job is done for the day, and checking on the wear parts of the machine. A big part of this role is to work well with others. The operator will be expected to communicate with the asphalt truck drivers, as well as the paving crew in a respectful and efficient manner.

**Experience**

No Paver operation experience needed but at least 3 years of full time operation of heavy equipment is needed.

No paving experience needed, but obviously an asset.

Some experience working with a team where effective communication is crucial in a busy work environment. The employee must remain safe and calm under these circumstances.

**Shift**

On average, the work day is generally 12 hours a day and the shift is 10 days on and 4 days off, 5 days for holidays. The work takes place all over the province and will continue until the weather turns too cold to operate.

First day will consist of a safety orientation in Swift Current, any further details can be expected upon hiring.

**Wages**

$20-25/hr starting wage

Overtime after 8 hours

$120/day living allowance
