**Student - Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Student (Contract)**

The Halton Regional Police Service is currently seeking one (1) energetic, collaborative and innovative individuals to join our Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) team as a Summer Student from May to August.

**About the Role - How you will Contribute to the Service**:
The Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Office is looking for a student with relevant academic, professional or personal lived experience to drive strategic direction for EDI related initiatives across the Service. As an EDI Student, you will be required to administratively and tactically support various EDI functions and programs across the Service. The EDI Student will be reporting to the Sergeant of the EDI Office.

**What you will be Responsible For**:
The EDI student will provide administrative support and assist with the deployment of key EDI initiatives currently underway. They will assist in collaborating with various internal teams and external stakeholders to act as an added resource to ongoing workstreams focused on delivering key initiatives.

**Hourly Rate**:This is a paid student position ($19.43 per hour) for a four month term (May to August 2024) contract

**Working Hours**: 35 hours per week: Monday - Friday. This position is based out of our Oakville Headquarters facility which is located at the QEW and North Service Road West.
