- **Duties**:_
- Manages department staff from hiring, scheduling, providing work direction, to reviewing performance and providing feedback.
- Performs administrative duties including signing time statements for payroll, ordering product, and managing invoice record keeping.
- Maintains inventory levels by counting stock, ordering and receiving product, and checking invoices.
- Provides exemplary customer service by responding to their inquiries and resolving issues swiftly.
- Performs other related duties as required.
- **Job Description**_

The Meat Manager is responsible for the efficient and fiscally responsible operation of the department. The Manager will lead and manage staff to achieve the highest level of customer service. The Manager will also manage budgets, labour costs, inventory control, product presentation and merchandising. The Manager will coach, motivate and develop their team to foster customer loyalty, fulfill customer needs and actively contribute to an exceptional environment of employee and customer engagement.

Create a coaching and development culture for all employees, which embraces a passion for food.
- Demonstrate outstanding leadership, while serving as a role model.
- Manage staff, from hiring, orientation, training and development, to performance management.
- Act as leader, actively supporting an environment of employee engagement, with respect and appreciation.
- Support, participate and lead community and charitable events and activities.
- Manage store operations as required.
- **Customer Offering**_

- Create a meat department shopping experience that impacts customers in a way that enhances loyalty, sales and engagement.
- Provide superior customer service to meet customer needs.
- Demonstrate exceptional product knowledge, including awareness of product changes, promotions, and seasonal trends.
- Directly responsible to ensure the department achieves all financial targets and maximizes sales and margins, and department labour budget.
- Keeps abreast of local competitor activity, industry trends and makes recommendations on internal pricing and promotions.
- **Other Duties**_
- Coordinate maintenance of department equipment and repairs
- Provide feedback for continuous improvement
- **Job Requirements**_
- Ability to work independently.
- Above average leadership skills.
- Full knowledge of department operations and skills
- Minimum 3 years of meat department management experience.
