**This position will require relocation to Bermuda.**

Global Atlantic is looking for an Actuarial Associate to join the Bermuda Actuarial team. This role will be based in our Hamilton, Bermuda office and will be part of the team supporting the Bermuda valuation and reporting process. The Actuarial Associate will act as a liaison between Actuarial valuation, IT, Risk, and Finance as part of the production valuation process.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Support the GAAP, Stat and EBS valuation process
- Work with onshore actuarial team in understanding and analyzing the US GAAP and Stat reserves and other actuarial balances movement
- Work with Bermuda valuation team to analyze and explain model results for base and sensitivity/stress runs
- Process improvement - building tools to streamline the EBS, GAAP, and Stat analyzing process.
- Assist with the development of internal controls over the production valuation process
- Producing process and control documentation for internal and audit reference
- Executing validation and UAT procedures on new model output
- Onboarding new reinsurance deals into the production valuation process
- Preparing documentation and support for audit and regulatory requests

**Required & Preferred Qualifications**
- 5+ years experience in the (re)insurance industry
- ASA (or equivalent) actively working toward Fellowship designation, or FSA/equivalent
- Life and Annuity experience strongly preferred
- SOX control and compliance experience preferred
- Strong technical and communication skills
- Strong Excel knowledge (Power Query a plus)
- Coding language experience a plus (Python preferred)
- Actuarial modeling software experience a plus (MG ALFA preferred)
- Works well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Is persistent when developing a solution to a problem
- Balances the dichotomy between working with a high-caliber team and individual production
- Takes ownership of their responsibilities
- Thrives in an environment that prioritizes open and honest communication and feedback.
