Manufacturing Outsourcer

If you are a dynamic, goal oriented individual experienced in the **Outsourcing** of machining services (Turning, Milling, Chroming, Heat treating, with a positive work ethic, experienced with downhole tool products in a machine shop environment, and the willingness to learn and be a team player within the Basin organization with room for growth, **we are looking for you**
- **Reporting to the VP Manufacturing, you will**:_
- Be responsible for the Outsourcing of machining services
- Work with our vendors to understand their capabilities
- Negotiate the best purchasing price for Wenzel.
- Creation/setup and costing of part numbers within Wenzel’s ERP system.
- Identify, understand, and verbalize ideas and thoughts which could lead to cost reductions or other improvement ideas.
- Act as an interface between Engineering, QC, and the vendor(s) to assure that requirements are met.
- Research and identify potential new vendors for existing or special processes for jobs and or quotes.
- Schedule daily deliveries to and from vendors.
- Perform daily reviews of the open PO report, and contact vendors as needed to determine revised delivery dates on jobs outsourced for machining or specialty processes.
- Assist with maintaining our QMS expectations with vendors.
- Track and trouble shoot orders with subcontractors.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Purchasing experience with metal parts (machined),
- Read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Negotiation and purchasing strategy skills.
- 3-5 years’ experience in a Machine Shop Purchasing environment.
- Computer literate, with MS Office experience, proficient PC skills and ERP knowledge.
