**The Opportunity**
Mosaic is seeking a **Road Grader** to join our Northwest Bay Production Crew based out of our Nanoose Bay, BC operation on Vancouver Island, British Columbia.

**The Role**
As a Road Grader Operator, you will play a vital role in the maintenance and construction of forest roads and access routes, ensuring safe and efficient transportation of logging equipment and materials. You will be responsible for operating and maintaining heavy-duty road graders, performing grading and levelling operations, and assisting in other logging activities as required.

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Operate heavy-duty road graders to grade forest roads, ensuring optimal drainage and safe driving conditions;
- Provide snow removal and plowing of industrial roads as required;
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on road graders to ensure safe and efficient operation;
- Conduct repairs and adjustments as necessary to maintain equipment functionality;
- Collaborate with the logging crew to determine road grading priorities and schedules;
- Assist in road construction projects, including clearing vegetation, compacting soil, and installing drainage systems; and
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies, maintaining a safe working environment.

***This is a full-time position and will require day shift and afternoon shift.

**Required Skills and Experience**
- 2 to 5 years of experience operating heavy-duty road graders in a logging resource road environment;
- Proficient knowledge of road construction techniques, including grading, levelling, and drainage systems;
- Familiarity with logging industry standards, practices, and safety regulations would be considered an asset, but is not required;
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to perform running repairs;
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and depth perception for precise grading operations;
- Physical fitness and ability to work in various weather conditions and challenging terrain;
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; and
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
