Demand Planner - Inventory Control

**Summary**:
Reporting to the Analytics Manager, the Demand Planner generates, revises and analyzes the sales forecast for the company, is responsible for developing a clear view of forecasted demand that needs to be produced. Working in collaboration with Sales, Operations and Customer Service is critical to meeting the requirements of this role.

**Responsibilities**:

- Manage, maintain and review the demand forecast generated in the statistical tool (Logility).
- Meet with sales team members on a monthly basis and suggest modifications consistent with the knowledge of current or historical demand, get to final agreements to be maintained as final demand in the systems
- Monitors and manually executes all necessary changes in the demand not visible to the statistical tool, i.e. LTO’s, promotions, replacements, price changes, seasonality, product sun setting.
- Follows up on actual sales orders’ compliance against original forecast with both sales people and service assurance personnel (forecast accuracy).
- Monthly reporting of forecast accuracy using wMAPE and analysis of major deviations or biases
- Prepare ‘Rough Cut Capacity Plan’ (RCCP) and ‘S&OP’ presentations
- Reviews the forecasted demand with the planning director/ manager/team, for the next three months in order to align demand with manufacturing capacity.
- Communicates any sudden change in demand to supply chain (planning and procurement).
- Provides input to supply chain regarding changes in item classification (MTO, MTS), ensures correct maintenance of MTS items per definition of required supply strategy.
- Provide recommendations to improve forecast quality based on best supply chain practices and forecasting methodology
- Creation of BI reporting as needed
- Generate Continuous Improvement / Kaizen opportunities

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain or related field. MBA preferred.
- At least 1-2 year of experience in customer service, planning and scheduling and/or sales areas
- Formal training in statistical analysis
- APICS training preferred, demand administration preferred
- Logility use background preferred.
- Microsoft D365 experience is an asset
