- The City of North Vancouver is the urban core of the beautiful North Shore and has a long-term vision to be “The Healthiest Small City in the World”, with five key priorities to be a City for People, a Liveable City, a Vibrant City, a Connected City and a Prosperous City.- The Engineering, Parks and Environment Department (Engineering Operations) - Streets Section, requires a temporary full-time Litter Collector for approximately six months.**Responsibilities**
- You will use hand tools to collect and dispose of litter and other debris from City streets, sidewalks, plazas, parks and other areas; empty litter containers; drive a light duty vehicle on an assigned route; and perform minor maintenance on litter containers.**Requirements**:

- You will have some related experience and a good knowledge of City streets and geography. You have the ability to perform manual tasks under mínimal supervision in all weather conditions, operate a light duty vehicle and perform minor servicing tasks. You will also be available to work weekends. A valid BC Class 5 Driver’s License and strong interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective working relations with co-workers and the public are also required.**Compensation**
- $29.71 per hour- (January 2021 rates)**Hours of Work**
- 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm (40 hour work week)- To support our seven (7) day work week of litter collection, employees will be entitled to two (2) consecutive days off per week.**Additional Information**
