**Job Summary**

The Early Childhood Educator will provide a quality, caring and supportive childcare program, meet all reglatory standards required by the Ministry of Education and other governing bodies such as the Brant County Health Unit, Fire Department, etc.

**Qualifications**
- Diploma in Early Childhood Education - registered with the College of ECE
- Up-to-date immunizations
- Valid First Aid/CPR
- Police check (within 6 months of hire date)

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Observe, carry out, and assess developmentally appropriate activities in line with the centre philosophy and program statement
- Individualize the program for each child’s various needs
- Ensure guidance of children’s behaviour that encourages positive self-concept
- Ensure the children’s environment is healthy and safe
- Ensure positive communication with families
- Contribute to the ongoing operations of the centre

**Working Conditions**
- The childcare facility is licensed for 174 children
- Must be able to lift 50lbs
- Indoor and outdoor activities, in hot and cold temperatures
- Standing, bending, crouching, some lifting
- Repetitive movements
- In constant contact with bacteria and viruses

**Salary**: $18.50-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Brantford, ON N3T 1W9: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Licence/Certification:

- ECE Licence (preferred)
