**PROJECT LEADER**:
The Design and Construction Branch is looking for a Project Leader for a temporary position until 31 October 2025 with the possibility of extension and/or indeterminate status.

The position is classified as a RÉ-06 ($83,979 to $113,423 per annum). 2021 rates - salary under review.
**JOB OVERVIEW**
Join the NCC’s project management team and contribute to building a more sustainable and accessible capital that will be a source of pride for all Canadians.
Reporting to the Chief, Alexandra Bridge Replacement Project, you will lead the operational aspect for the replacement of the Alexandra bridge project and other Interprovincial National Capital Region (NCR) Crossings initiatives. You will act as the main point of contact for these projects with internal and external stakeholders and represent the NCC on interdepartmental committees. You will develop, update, and improve on project tools, work plans, briefing materials, reports and perform other committee related tasks to improve operational efficiency.
**ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS**:
**EDUCATION**
A degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management OR an acceptable combination of a post-secondary degree, training and experience related to the position.
**EXPERIENCE**
Five to eight years of experience with increasing responsibilities in the field of Program Management or Project delivery.- Project or Program management and delivery in the private and/or public sector.
- Providing strategic advice and recommendations to Senior Management.
- Consulting and building consensus with various internal or external stakeholders.
- Experience developing, reviewing, and editing Project management processes and tools.
- Working in a matrix environment/team.
**KNOWLEDGE**
- Of program and project management theories, practices, and relevant planning and environmental legislation.
**ABILITIES**
- To provide strategic advice to senior management and external stakeholders.
- To build and manage relationships and work collaboratively with stakeholders such as NCC employees, government departments, regulatory agencies, consultants etc.
- To negotiate and resolve disputes.
- To manage competing priorities and tight timelines.
- To communicate effectively in both official languages and deliver effective presentations.
- Proficiency with MS Suite and other Project management and delivery tools.

**CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT**
- Possess or eligible to obtain Secret security clearance.
- Linguistic profile: Bilingual CBC.
- Position is in the National Capital Region. The person selected for this position must reside within a commutable distance from the workplace at 40 Elgin Street, Ottawa, Ontario.
- The National Capital Commission offers a hybrid and flexible work environment, all employees are currently asked to work on-site at least two (2) days per week.
