DiCocco Contractors is seeking a Construction Estimator to support the bidding of civil and general construction projects in Sarnia and the surrounding area.

The position includes the following responsibilities:

- Study plans, specifications and all other bid documents to prepare detailed cost estimates and schedules.
- Efficiently navigate and interpret industry standards, specifications and codes.
- Analyze and summarize takeoff quantities from contract drawings.
- Maintain a supplier database with current and historical pricing lists.
- Prepare and submit professional and compliant bid proposals (including supplemental documents, not related to estimating, where required).
- Upon award of a construction project, develop internal cost code system to facilitate accurate tracking against estimate.
- Evaluate contract changes and prepare detailed backup documentation for change order requests.
- Analyze differences between bid and actual costs, and summarize this information for management.
- Maintain all estimating information in an organized manner.
- Establish a database of historical unit costs and unit prices.

**Salary**: $40,000.00-$65,000.00 per year

- Sarnia, ON N7T 7H5: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

- construction estimating: 2 years (preferred)
