Barista

**Job Overview**
As a Barista, you will be the face of our coffee shop, responsible for creating a welcoming environment for our customers. You will prepare and serve high-quality beverages while ensuring exceptional customer service. Your role will involve working with various coffee machines and equipment, maintaining cleanliness, and managing transactions efficiently.

**Duties**
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other drinks according to standard recipes.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workspace, including coffee machines and equipment.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly and taking their orders accurately.
- Handle cash transactions using the POS system, ensuring accurate cash handling and basic math calculations.
- Assist in food preparation and service, adhering to food safety standards.
- Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive work environment and meet customer needs.

**Skills**
- Strong customer service skills to create a friendly atmosphere for patrons.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing cash effectively.
- Experience with cash handling and familiarity with POS systems.
- Knowledge of food safety practices to ensure compliance in food preparation.
- Time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy periods.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
- Previous experience in food service or cashiering is a plus but not required.

**Qualifications**
- FoodSafe Level 1 (will need to obtain)
- Serving it Right (will need to obtain)
- Must be 19 years of age due to liquor licence

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $17.40-$18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 30 per week
