**Exterior Forklift Operator**

**Responsible for**:

- Safely performing all duties required on a large outdoor forklift working with structural steel.
- Unloading and Loading in an outside production storage yard.
- Supplying the, as requested, with steel for processing.
- Inspect material for damage and quality, and make sure it is well packed before unloading/loading the truck.
- Load trucks according to the truck driver's instructions.
- Report and problems to the **Shipping Clerk**:

- Ensure that the entire order is loaded onto the truck or as directed by the Yard Foreman/Shipping Clerk.
- Follow existing standards, procedures and regulations.
- other miscellaneous tasks including assisting plant production if necessary
- maintain kind and courteous attitude with drivers and customer representatives.

**Daily**
- Pre-shift lift inspection
- make sure the yard is neat and tidy
- keep forklifts clean
- support production in all necessary forms

**Salary**: From $23.00 per hour

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
- Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Hannon, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Warehouse experience: 1 year (preferred)
