**Position Summary**

Planner Expeditor is responsible to expedite the flow of work and material and to keep track of production based on the production schedule.

**Principle Duties and Responsibilities**
- Work with Production Planner to deploy work packages to the shop floor, follow up and update progress as required.
- Expedite rush and special orders through manufacturing floor to ensure the products are shipped on time.
- Identify past due orders and reasons and provide status update to Production Planner and Customer Service periodically.
- Locate parts and distribute to specified production areas.
- Read production schedules, inventory reports, and work orders to determine type and quantity of parts required, availability of stock, and order priority for shipments.
- Examine parts to verify counts, part numbers, and markings and check for discrepancies such as unmarked parts, etc.
- Perform physical inventory counts of components to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Communicate shortages to Production Planner and Materials Supervisor.
- Expedite internal material flow between departments.
- Participate production meetings and update leads to successfully perform their duties.
- Keep Production Supervisor informed of issues or matters of significance. Escalate issues outside department to Production Manager.
- Communicate with cross functional team members.

**Minimum Requirements**
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Minimum of 1-year experience in production planning, scheduling in Manufacturing setting
- Dependable, high-energy level and self-motivated
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and related computer software, and ability to learn new software programs as needed.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent time management skills.
- Ability to work with an ERP system, preferably with JDE.
- Strong initiative and good organizational skills are necessary.

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months
