Dog Trainer

Experienced Dog Trainer (Positive Reinforcement)

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement positive reinforcement dog training programs for various breeds and ages, from puppies to adult dogs.
- Teach group dog training classes and private lessons, ensuring a safe, fun, and educational environment for both dogs and their owners.
- Plan class schedules and coordinate with other trainers and staff to ensure efficient use of our facility.
- Develop and update training curriculums to keep our programs engaging, effective, and up-to-date with the latest training methods.
- Plan and execute seminars, workshops, and events to engage the local dog community and promote our training services.
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients, addressing their concerns and adapting training techniques to suit individual needs.
- Collaborate with other trainers and staff to continuously improve our training programs and overall customer experience.

Qualifications:

- Minimum 2 years of experience as a professional dog trainer, with a focus on positive reinforcement training methods.
- Demonstrated experience in teaching group classes and private lessons.
- Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA or equivalent) preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with clients and their pets.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- A commitment to continued education in the field of dog training and behavior.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Compensation will be based on skill and experience.
