The company has an opening at its sterile injectable manufacturing facility in Cambridge, Ontario for a Custodial Supervisor.

**Job Summary**:
The Custodial Supervisor is responsible for the operation and execution of the cleaning and sanitation program in the Septodont Facility, together with the supervision of the custodial team and contractors assigned to these tasks. The individual in this role ensures that the custodial team members and contractors adhere and comply with the procedures to perform the cleaning activities assigned to the department, and that the conditions in production areas are maintained according to GMP rules and regulatory standards.

**Responsibilities**:

- Maintains a visible presence on the production floor and assists in resolving issues related to the team performance and routinary and non-regular activities assigned to the custodial team.
- Assists with Monitors job duties to ensure that all pertinent SOPs are followed, and all activities are documented properly.
- Conduct operational meetings with staff members.
- Maintain department KPIs in relation with the assignment and establish short term and long-term action plans to align with departmental and organization goals.
- Plans, coordinates, and approves shift patterns assignment and work distribution among the custodial team.
- Maintains and controls cleaning material and tolls inventory with the support of the custodial team.
- Maintains the pest control program including, monitoring the effectiveness, implementation of preventive and corrective actions. Support audit exercises and inquires related to the program.
- Monitor usage, condition and inventory of sanitation tools and equipment. Organize routinary maintenance events with vendors and coordinate service calls to address equipment shutdown.
- Works with the Building Services Manager or delegate to issue, investigate and rectify Quality Assurance deviations associated with the department operation.
- Conducts and supports the preparation of investigation reports and change control requests assigned to the custodial team.
- Revising departmental SOPs and other GMP documents.
- Assessing documentation errors and coaching custodial team members on documentation practices.
- Maintains a high degree of co-operation with other departments and participates in cross-departmental activities.
- Acts as a resource to educate and train direct reports on the Safety Program. Holds employees accountable for following safety rules / regulations.
- In conjunction with the Building Services Manager and the Human Resources Department, support Employee Relations activities such as: assisting in the completion of employee performance reviews, monitoring performance improvement initiatives and guiding employee improvement action plans, supporting the administration of disciplinary action, and guiding conflict resolution by assisting in the investigation of employee complaints and recommending suitable resolutions.
- Coordinates new employee training and other training requirements of custodial staff through reviewing identified training gaps and supporting cross training plans.
- Ensures GMP, regulatory requirements and quality standards are met.
- Performs shift performance reviews for compliance with good practices.
- Assess quality of work performed by custodians and cleaning contractors in the multiple areas designated to the Building Services Team.
- Performs other related duties as required.

**Qualifications**:

- College Diploma is required
- University Degree is an asset
- Supervisory experience required, minimum 2 years
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team, building positive relationships with team members.
- Effective communication skills both verbal and written with the ability to delegate and to work within interdepartmental teams.
