**JOB TITLE: SITE SUPERVISOR**

**Overview**:
Black-Hart Construction Inc. is a commercial/industrial construction and project management firm located in Oakville, Ontario. Our focus is building construction projects of exceptional quality.

Black-Hart Construction is looking for adaptable to join us as our firm grows.

This role will be working directly with the Project Manager, will oversee the day-to-day operations of job sites. This individual is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, is detail-oriented, forward

The Site Supervisor will be responsible for the on-site management of trades and site work to ensure that duties are being completed effectively, efficiently and in a safe manner; helping to lead the team to the successful and timely completion of each project.

**Responsibilities & Duties**:

- Leading the jobsite ‘team’ in following the project documents (drawings, specifications, and scope) and executing a successful project.
- Implement the site-specific Health & Safety Work Plan to ensure safe working conditions.
- Ensure sites are kept clean and tidy.
- Work with project managers, architects, engineers, and interior designers to achieve the project scope.
- Organize and coordinate all subcontractor activities.
- Various site labour, handling of materials, demolition, and miscellaneous carpentry.
- Record site observations, employee hours and health & safety statistics.
- Manage the quantity take-offs and procurement of materials and labour necessary to complete the project. Including material pick-ups and deliveries.
- Work with Project Coordinator and Project Manager to prepare schedules for crews & trades onsite.
- Conduct regular performance and quality reviews of onsite trade work.
- Scheduling and attending mandatory inspections.
- Communicate & enforce health and safety best practice onsite.
- Manage and execute project changes, extras and RFI’s.
- Execution of project deficiencies.
- Ensure compliance with design, project specifications, regulations, and safety codes.
- Monitor progress against established schedules.
- Ensure all contractual issues are resolved and dealt with in a timely manner.

**Requirements & Core Competencies**:

- Minimum 5 years experience working on construction sites as Supervisor.
- Experience with typical carpentry tools and techniques.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft software (Excel, Word, Outlook and Project).
- Valid “G” driver's license.
- Excellent communication and liaison skills with sub-trades
- Proven track record of analyzing project scope, cost, and schedule, and taking appropriate action to ensure the project is completed in a timely manner, on budget, and to all specifications and requirements.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with a project team.
- Superior leadership abilities.
- Highly organized and able to prioritize responsibilities.
- Ability to consistently achieve targeted deliverables completely and accurately.
- Highly effective negotiation, diplomatic, and conflict resolution skills.
- *First Aid skills and/or certificates are considered assets.
- **Experience working with CMiC is considered an asset.

**Work Conditions**:

- Work outdoors at multiple construction sites
- Travel is necessary.
- Lifting or moving objects may be required.
- May need to climb ladders or navigate inclined ramps at job sites.
- Personal protective equipment will be required, e.g., steel-toed safety boots, safety glasses/goggles, hard hat, etc.

**Salary**: $100,000.00-$140,000.00 per year
