**Job Title: Logistic Coordinator - Liquid Asphalt**

**Position Overview**:
Attention to detail, communication and organisational skills are critical.

**Responsibilities**:

- Coordinate transportation logistics for the delivery of liquid asphalt products to customers, including scheduling, routing, and tracking shipments.
- Collaborate with supply and client companies, drivers, and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products.
- Monitor inventory levels at distribution centers and coordinate replenishment shipments as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards governing the transportation of materials.
- Resolve any transportation-related issues or delays in a timely and effective manner.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, inventory levels, and transportation activities.
- Continuously optimize logistics processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, and internal management to provide updates on shipment status and address any concerns.
- Assist team members by providing additional support or coverage as needed (i.e. “work as a team”)
- Compile reports for review as requested by management.
- Perform various administrative duties as may be required.

**Qualifications**:

- Being bilingual (English & French) will be considered an important asset
- Ideally 2 years experience in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience in trucking logistics coordination, and preferably in the transportation of liquid asphalt or similar materials is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of transportation regulations and government compliance requirements.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in using logistics software and systems for HOS, scheduling, GPS tracking, and reporting.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to safety and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks.
- Flexibility to work evenings or weekends as needed to address operational requirements.
- Knowledge of the Highway Traffic Act as it applies to highway tractor-trailers a definite asset.
- Experience with Dispatch Mate will be considered a definite asset
- Proficient / competent using typical office & computer-based systems (Microsoft Office Suite)
- Must already be able to work in Canada and currently living in the greater Ottawa / Gatineau region
