Equine Veterinary Receptionist/ Assistant

Russell Equine Veterinary Service is looking for a bilingual receptionist to join our growing team We are a well-established equine-only clinic that services Eastern Ontario and the Outaouais region.

**Hours**: Full-Time or Part-Time (25-40 hours per week). Monday to Friday with optional weekends caring for in-clinic patients during breeding season (Spring/Summer).

**Job Duties**:

- Preparation and running of in-house laboratory diagnostics (hematology, biochemistry and fecal egg count) as well as preparation of samples being sent to external labs
- General housekeeping duties; maintaining cleanliness of reception area and clinic office
- Occasionally assisting veterinarians during in-clinic appointments through the handling and restraint of patients, the use of diagnostic equipment as well as supervised medication administration
- Occasional care and treatment of in-clinic patients which includes feeding, mucking out, turn out, medication administration and monitoring

**Requirements**:

- Bilingualism (English/French)
- Customer service experience
- Equine knowledge and experience are an asset
