**Maintenance Technician**

Status: Permanent, Full Time

Shift: 5 days/week (Monday to Friday) May be asked to work stats.

Wage: 20.00/hour

**Inspired **produces innovative, fresh and healthy, ready-to-eat items for Canadian retail and Foodservice companies. Our state-of-the-art processing facility, use of premium ingredients, and chef inspired recipes has elevated fresh-cut to the next level. We are a dynamic & forward thinking company looking to expand our current product offering. We will continue to create new Inspired items for the Canadian market.

**Focus**

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing general building and property maintenance. They will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining all machinery and mechanical production equipment in accordance with safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes.

**Key Accountabilities**
- Ensure the maintenance and repair of all equipment and machinery.
- Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
- Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment.
- Perform daily maintenance inspections.
- Comply and enforce Occupational Health and Safety standards and practices.
- Maintain an inventory of all tools and machinery.
- Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
- Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervisor.
- Maintain inventory of equipment, manuals and warranties.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
- Interact with management, colleagues, and public.

**Key Attribute and Skills**
- Strong communication skills (written and spoken English language)
- Excellent time management skills with ability to work under pressure
- Ability to work as part of a team, alongside a team, and alone.
- Ability to follow and comply with Occupational Health and Safety and Food Safety Regulations.
- Ability to work with various power and hand tools.
- Ability to troubleshoot breakdowns and perform small repairs
- Possess a valid driver’s license

**Education and Experience**
- High school diploma/GED.
- Building trades' certificate, or equivalent, considered an asset.
- 5thclass power engineer an asset but not a requirement.
- First Aid certification considered an asset.
- Minimum 3 years of Maintenance experience, or experience in a production facility.
- Past metal fabrication/welding is an asset but not a requirement.

**Working Conditions**
- Hours may be irregular and in excess of 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week
- Work outside ordinary office hours (including weekends and holidays) may be required
- Working with machinery such as loaders, forklifts, and power tools.
- Working in various temperatures and humidity, particularly in a cooler

**Physical Requirements**
- Repetitive and strenuous work.
- Ability to stand and work on feet for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift heavy objects (over 50lbs).
