Inventory Analyst

INVENTORY ANALYST

**Responsibilities**:

- Work in compliance with laws and regulations, attend and complete all required health and safety training, report all accidents and safety hazards observed. Take every precaution reasonable to ensure personal safety and the safety of others.
- Perform analysis of inventory levels, quantity on hand and quantity ordered to assess inventory turnover.
- Maintain and update accurate purchase order pricing, confirming pricing to confirmations when required.
- Investigate inventory adjustments and variances and use professional judgement to determine whether further analysis is required. Recommend actions to minimize/ improve variances.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts to inventory counts and adjustments to support financial statements.
- Support inventory associates with analysis of inventory counts.
- Review negative inventory on hand across all stores, and investigate with all required associates
- Maintain inventory records, which includes but is not limited to maintenance of current SKUs, creating new SKUs, and maintenance of department information
- Other tasks as required by Manager

**Qualifications**:

- Experience with financial analysis including variance analysis and reporting.
- Knowledge and experience of accounting and inventory management principles.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with employees, superiors, and vendors.
- Excellent time management skills and strong ability to prioritize.
- Well planned, organized with keen attention to detail.

Education
- Diploma in Business Administration or a Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred or relative work experience.

Experience
- 1-2 years of experience working in an inventory, accounting, or general admin function
- Previous experience working in the retail sector, or a similar industry is considered an asset
