**Facility Cleaner Silent Ice Center**

**Overview**

General Summary: This position will be responsible for supporting the initiatives, vision, and execution of various arena operational plans on behalf of Frozen Dreams Properties. Under the direction of facility management, this role is intended to support the day-to-day activities by creating an incredible first impression of our facility by contributing to a clean, well-maintained, and welcoming environment.

**Roles & Responsibilities**
- Clean all public areas according to the daily schedules and instruction provided by senior arena staff. Cleaning duties to include but not be limited to: sweeping, mopping, glass cleaning, cleaning and disinfecting fixtures, toilets, urinals, showers, garbage and snow removal, etc.
- Tidy dressing rooms between user groups.
- Operation of sweeper scrubber throughout the facility.
- Maintain grounds as required through snow removal, mowing, weed trimming as required.
- Dusting, sweeping, vacuuming and mopping surfaces in their work area including living/working areas, bathrooms, kitchens and supply closets.
- Refilling and restocking cleaning supplies and toiletries (hand wash, toilet paper, paper towels).
- Washing kitchen napkins, floor rags and dusters.
- Maintaining cleaning products and ordering new supplies when necessary.
- Taking out the garbage.
- Carrying out minor maintenance tasks such as replacing displaced toilet seats, unclogging sinks.
- Conducting monthly disinfection and deep cleaning.
- Extra disinfecting of public spaces and touch points in accordance with best practice protocols.
- Special projects as required may include, but not be limited to: graffiti removal, painting,
- Complete all log reports as required.
- Other duties and projects as assigned.
- Must be available for special events, and occasional weekends, and holidays.
- Proposed shifts include 1) Sat-Sunday daytime and 2) Thurs-Sun afternoon/evenings.

**Experience and Skills**
- Team Player.
- Able and willing to follow instructions.
- Possession of a valid Class 5 Alberta Motor Vehicle Operator’s License.
- Emergency First Aid, AED, and CPR an asset.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong level of initiative required.
- Must be available for shift work, weekends, and holidays.

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: $18.00-$21.00 per hour
