**HOURS**: Part-time contract position

**What you will do**

As a language assessor you will provide (in person and/or remote) services to newcomer clients including completing intake and assessment of language and/or pre-employment support needs. You will provide referrals to LINC and ESL programs as well as maintain client files and referral records. You will perform follow up correspondence with community agencies and partners on behalf of the clients. You will also provide administrative support as needed and attend workshops /trainings /conferences/ staff meetings as required. As a language assessor you will also be inputting client information into databases and preparing narrative and statistical reports. As always, there might be other duties.

**What you will bring**

Ideally, you will bring a completed post-secondary diploma in the field, ESL certification, administrative and office management skills, Canadian Language Benchmark Assessment Tools Knowledge (CLBA, CLB, CLBPT). You will have excellent computer knowledge (Microsoft Office, Outlook, comfortable user of databases) as well as excellent oral and written communication skills. You will work directly with confidential client information, so previous experience working with confidential data and client information is strongly preferred. We also require acceptable police check for the vulnerable sector.
