**Nature & Scope**:
The Youth Recreation Instructor organizes and leads programs and events for youth.

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead high quality, safe and stimulating recreation and education programs for youth
- Assist with continuous development of programming
- Research and implement a variety of learning tools
- Provide educational and recreational material that is current and appropriate
- Build and preserve positive relationships with community partners
- Maintain program equipment and monitor use of equipment and supplies
- Uphold the philosophy and values of the YMCA of Eastern Ontario and strive to improve and

sustain services at the highest level of quality

**Qualifications**:

- Criminal Reference Check (CPIC) including Vulnerable Sector Check completed not more than

120 days prior to interview, with results acceptable to the YMCA of Eastern Ontario
- Current Standard First Aid and CPR level “C”
- At least one (1) year of experience planning and delivering youth programming
- A high level of maturity and responsibility
- Excellent interpersonal skills
