Join a team of forward thinking, enthusiastic, results-driven and collaborative professionals. We are currently seeking a Quality Control Supervisor to join our Blackwater project team on site. Note that role is required to be on a site roster (14:7) for the duration of the project.
The role will require but not be limited to:
- Liaise with other departments in the preparation of plans and forecasts and to also provide meaningful feedback and recommendations on process improvements.
- Provide all required information and performance data for reporting purposes.
- Assist in the production of all commercial documentation for the compilation and issue of all tender, quality request for tender, and specification explain for all subcontracts.
- Monitor and report internally driven changes to the scope of works for all contract packages within a project.
- Monitor and report quality activities progress and program and implement corrective action as required.
- Participate in the development and continuous improvement of the Quality management process and system and ensure that project and Sedgman quality standards are implemented.
- Ensure that documentation is completed and filed (accuracy, mínimal rectification required after checking).
- Ensure all contractual requirements are fulfilled throughout the course of the project (e.g. ITP’s, Manufacturing Programs, MDR’s, VDDR’s, O&M Manuals, Handover requirements etc.).
- Conduct vendor assessments on proposed new vendors in line with Sedgman and ISO 9001 requirements.
- Ensure active vendors are assessed at least once per year in conjunction with the Procurement Department.
- Review proposed tender list and ensure that no vendors are used unless previously approved by assessment or audit.
- Verifying the use of Smart Completions checklists with Subcontractors as construction is completed through Punchlist and Construction Verification.
What are we looking for?
- Post-secondary degree/diploma/trade certification in construction-related disciplines
- Formal QC qualification i.e. CWB CSA W178.2 Welding Inspector Level 2
- 8+ years of experience in QA/QC in industrial, mining or mineral processing construction
- Strong knowledge relevant codes, with the ability to interpret drawings, specifications and other construction documents.
- QA/QC Understanding in EPC / EPCM project procurement.
- Excellent communicator with strong consultation and influencing skills.

Salary range in BC: $90,000-130,000
The salary offered to the successful person for this position will consider education, experience, relevant skills and capability, geographic location and market conditions at the time of hire.
Note all site assignments will require a medical assessment, paid for and arranged by the Company with a third-party health provider.
